Blue collar roots. Blue collar fight.

Rick LeBorious has a trusted record of service in our towns.

Rick LeBorious

When I was a kid growing up in the Brainard Park neighborhood of Enfield, my younger sister was hospitalized for two years with a serious illness, that eventually took her life. She spent a year at Springfield Hospital, followed by a year in the Newington Hospital for Crippled Children, as it was then called.

She passed away at the age of eight.

It was a very difficult time for my family, but we got through it with the support and kindness of friends, neighbors, and members of the Enfield community. That support is something that I will never forget.

Those kindnesses kindled in me an enduring belief in the goodness of the people in my neighborhood and of the people of Enfield, and indeed people everywhere when faced with a neighbor facing adversity. I grew up in and raised my own family in Enfield. The town was and remains a wonderful place for children and families to grow and learn.

I feel a deep connection and commitment to Enfield and East Windsor. Both communities have great prospects for bright futures for all their citizens. Over time, we seem to have lost much of our sense of connection to each other as citizens. We are experiencing an increasing lack of civility in our public discourse. I want to be part of finding ways to connect us to each other, to community. I want to help foster the recognition of our shared values and purpose.

When I am elected, I will fight to ensure that women’s health rights continue to be fully protected in Connecticut. I will fight to ensure that LGBTQ+ rights are protected, and all people are embraced and respected without regard to who they love.

I will work every day on the state level to help all our families prosper and grow. I have been an active supporter of public education throughout my adult life. I will work to provide the best possible funding and policies that assure our students and teachers have the tools they need to excel.

I will work every day to demonstrate my commitment and ability to represent the citizens of Enfield and East Windsor. I hope to show the voters that they can count on me to be there for them just the same as neighbors and friends were there to help my family when I was that kid growing up in Enfield.

The Republican assault on women's right has gained too much ground nationally. We must take it seriously, and redouble our efforts to defend reproductive rights in Connecticut.

Defend Choice

Groceries, electricity, and housing costs are all out of control. Rick has a plan to stop corporate price gouging, increase housing stock, and cut utility bills for CT families.

Reduce Costs

Democrats passed the largest income tax cut in state history, but it's not enough. With families and small businesses still struggling, Rick will fight to keep cutting taxes for the middle class.

Cut Taxes

Our district's heritage is one of farming, and big, grid-scale solar projects threaten the character and charm of our towns. Rick will fight to return control of these important decisions to our towns.
